October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Carolina Woman wants to ensure that Triangle women are informed about the local resources available to educate and support those whose lives have been affected by the disease.

The Breast Cancer Resource Directory of North Carolina is a project established by Women Helping Women, the N.C. Institute of Public Health and UNC-Chapel Hill’s Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Its mission is to provide ample services for breast cancer patients, survivors, family members, friends and caregivers through support groups and organizations.

You don’t have to travel far if you’re interested in these resources because services are available in every Triangle county. Here’s just a sampling of the wide range of help listed in the directory.

All Area Codes are 919 unless specified.
