Le Tour de Femme, a women-only bicycle ride, is presented by Grab My Wheel to benefit the Livestrong Foundation and the Angel Fund of Rex Hospital. The nonprofit Grab My Wheel believes that in the fight with cancer, no one rides alone. This event is open to all female cyclists, at all skill levels, to peddle a distance of 15, 31.2 or 62.4 miles. Participants live it up at a post-ride celebration.

 

Light the Night Walk

Light the Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This inspirational evening jaunt honors blood-cancer survivors as well as those lost to disease while shining a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatment. Through this event, friends and family, children and seniors, neighbors and co-workers all have the power to walk to the end of cancer.

 

Thad and Alice Eure Walk & Run for Hope

The Foundation of Hope for Research and Treatment of Mental Illness presents The Walk for Hope and USA Track & Field certified Run for Hope. Participants choose among a 10k, 5k or 1-mile trek from the Angus Barn through Umstead State Park, which finishes back at the restaurant. Afterward, there's a celebratory festival with food, music and prizes. All the money raised on walk day goes toward research on mental illness.
